Alan Blueford was murdered by Oakland police officer Miguel Masso on May 6, 2012 in an incident of racial profiling. Alan and his two friends where walking home when officer Masso and his partner decided to stop the young men. Alan then fled on foot and was chased down by Masso who shot him 3 times in the back and in the process also shot himself in the foot. Several witnesses said that Alan had no gun and posed no threat to the officer when shot. The facts of the case have never measured up to the several versions of the story that the OPD have provided. Miguel Masso has since been cleared of any wrongdoing and has remained with the department. It was just weeks before Alan Blueford's high school graduation when he was executed by the OPD. His last words where, "..I didn't do anything".
