On March 21, 2012, an off duty Chicago police officer, Dante Servin, approached a group of young people in his car who where walking in an alley as they left a party near his home. After getting in an argument, Servin allegedly feared for his life when he thought he saw someone reach for a gun at which point he fired his unregistered firearm blindly over his shoulder and hit Rekia Boyd in the head who was an innocent bystander. She died the next day. Servin has recently been cleared of all charges because the judge felt the prosecution did not provide a strong enough case with involuntary manslaughter and that he should of been charged with first degree murder instead. Another killer cop if back on the streets and they are beginning the process of getting him back on duty. So in light of whats happening in Baltimore with Freddie Gray, why wouldn't you run from the police?
